Susan - Practice Administrator

I make sure our office runs efficiently and smoothly, supervise the staff, and consult with patients and parents about treatment. I provide them with the doctors' recommendations for treatment and financial information. I enjoy being able to give them the information that they need and to answer any questions that they may have. I enjoy working with people and knowing that we make a difference in their lives and the lives of their children. My husband, Don, and I have three kids, Michael, Megan, and Matthew. I spend my free time hiking with my son's Boy Scouts, working in the yard, and volunteering with my children's schools.

Molly - Practice Administrator

I work with Susan to run the office and supervise the staff.  I also see new patients when they come into the office as well as consult with patients about recommended treatment. It is fun to interact with new people every day! I love working with our doctors and also seeing the patients and how great their final results are! As a team, we strive to make the office environment inviting and have fun activities for our patients to participate in. I am married with three children, one dog, and one cat. I love watching my daughter play volleyball, my son play lacrosse, and going boating with my family.

Tracy - Human
Resources and Marketing

I handle the hiring of staff, payroll and all employee related documents. I also do all marketing and promotions to current and prospective patients as well as to referring doctors and in our community. Most of my interaction with patients is helping the front desk when they are busy. I love to meet new people and make sure that they are having a positive experience at the office. I love being able to work with my husband, Dr. Cassinelli, to make his practice everything he wants it to be! We have three children, Elena, Jeremy, and Madison, one dog, two cats, and two guinea pigs. I am very involved in my children's school, but most of all, I run my kids from place to place for all of their activities!

Cheryl - Front Desk Coordinator

As Front Desk Coordinator, I speak with patients and parents every day, scheduling their appointments and answering their questions. I try to have a personal relationship with each person who walks in the door. Our doctors are very intelligent. They have a wealth of knowledge and I enjoy being in their company listening to them discuss any number of topics. Our office is always full of fun and activity. What can I say? We really care about our patients and their families. I love being with my husband, Michael, our two daughters, our son-in-law, and grandchildren. When I have free time I enjoy reading, gardening, cooking, and Michigan football!

Debbie - Front Desk Coordinator

I work at the front desk, answering the phone and scheduling patient appointments. I get to meet each and every family that comes into the office and I enjoy getting to know a little bit about them all. Drs. Cassinelli and Shanker aren't just great doctors; they're wonderful people. I have one son. When I'm not in the office, I love to watch NASCAR and even have season tickets to Bristol.

Michelle - Front Desk Coordinator

 

I work at the front desk helping patients who are in the office as well as those on the telephone.    I enjoy being able to answer questions and to make people comfortable with coming to our office. 

Sandy - Financial Administrator

I handle all accounts payable and receivable and get all paperwork ready for new patients starting treatment. I am always available to speak with families regarding insurance and payment matters and try to answer their questions as best as I can. I love that fact that my job is so varied. There is always something different to do, from posting payments, paying bills, and working on insurance matters with Penny or preparing paperwork for patients. I work with a really great group of women! My husband's name is John and we have two kids, Ben and Allie. I love to do yard work, especially cutting the grass with the riding mower!

Penny - Insurance Coordinator

I call insurance companies to pre-authorize treatment and I file insurance claims. I handle communications with insurance companies each day and make sure our patients get the most out of their coverage. Most of my time I am on the phone with insurance companies, but I do have some interaction with families as I try to help them with their insurance questions. The people here make coming to work every day a lot of fun. I am married to my wonderful husband, Jim, and I'm a reality TV show junkie!

Anne - New Patient Coordinator

I get to meet all of our new patients and their families and let them know what's going to happen when they undergo orthodontic treatment. I strive to make each interaction a positive one and hope that our patients enjoy the time they spend in our office. I love working with children and treat them like I would my own kids. Both of our doctors are extremely caring and very enthusiastic about their jobs. We love to see our patients smile! I am married to my husband, Michael, and we have three children, Will, Adam, and Clara, one dog, and three cats. When I'm not spending time with my family, I enjoy playing volleyball, coaching my son's soccer team, and spending time outdoors.

Melissa G. - Orthodontic Assistant

I do chairside assisting as well as sterilization and radiology for Drs. Cassinelli and Shanker. Getting to know our patients is my favorite part of my job. I like to find out if they play sports, have hobbies, or any special activities that they do to make them feel more comfortable. I love what I do because we get the opportunity to meet new patients and also see them progress in treatment. That is really neat to me! I love to spend time with my husband, Dustin, and our daughter, Leanna. We love to do family activities outdoors like camping, fishing, biking, and swimming.

Phyllis - Orthodontic Assistant

I am a chairside assistant for Drs. Cassinelli and Shanker, and I also do radiology and am in charge of ordering and stocking supplies. I enjoy keeping up with our patients' activities, whether it is a vacation they went on or something new at school. I love watching a patient's progress from start to finish and all the achievements that happened along the way, both personal and orthodontic. You will always be greeted and treated with a smile and a gentle hand. I am almost a crazy cat lady with three cats named Shady, Baby, and Orphan. When I'm not in the office I'm working on my house.

Mandy - Orthodontic Assistant

I am a chairside assistant and I also do sterilization and radiology. I really enjoy meeting new patients and their families, and my favorite day is when the braces come off and patients see their new smiles. Our office is very family-oriented and we want everyone to feel as comfortable as possible. I am married and have two dogs, Charlie and Cody, who I love to spend time with. I also enjoy scrap booking, hiking, and swimming.

 

Katelyn - Orthodontic Assistant

I am a chairside assistant for Drs. Cassinelli and Shanker.  I also help with sterilization and radiology.  Our office is a great place to work because everyone here genuinely cares about their patients.  Getting to see each patient progress through treatment and have a shining smile in the end is one of the most fulfilling experiences.  I have two dogs, Charlie and Lucy, and they are great at keeping me busy outside of work.  I also enjoy spending time outside (when it's warm), and cuddling up with a good book or movie when it's cold!

I am a chairside assistant and I also handle HIPPA and OSHA for the office and am in charge of tracing all X-rays. I like making patients feel welcomed, eliminating their worries and fears. Helping our patients throughout the journey to their beautiful healthy smiles is the best part of my job. It's priceless to see the happy dance after the braces come off! I enjoy spending time with my husband, Keith, and our four daughters. I love spending time outdoors hiking and gardening, photography, and traveling.

Laurie F. - Orthodontic Assistant

I assist our doctors chairside, with radiology, and sterilization. I like to engage my patients with interesting conversation to help them feel comfortable and at ease with their procedures. The doctors are funny and have positive attitudes. They are great with patients, both clinically and personally. I love seeing the success our patients have and the happiness a new smile gives them. My husband's name is Jeff and we have two children, Taylor and Haley, a cat named Coco, and two turtles named Rocky and Sandy. I spend my time volunteering at my children's school, playing golf, and working out at the gym.

Jenny Z. - Orthodontic Assistant

I assist our doctors chairside and keep the sterilization room stocked and in order. I take the time to really care about my patients and give them the individual attention they deserve. Our office has a very relaxing environment and it is a fun place for both our patients and our staff. My husband's name is Matt and we have two children, Kyla and Ryan, and a dog named Leah. I love coaching and playing volleyball, volunteering at my children's schools, and working in my yard.

Heather - Lab Technician

I have worked with Dr. Cassinelli for almost 10 years. I run the in-house lab making orthodontic appliances and fill in as a New Patient Coordinator and assistant when needed. I love getting quiet, shy patients that don't talk. I am a talker so I love to try to get them to open up and have fun when they are here. I want everyone to enjoy coming to the office. My husband's name is Jim and we have two daughters, Skyla and Kayla. I love being outdoors and am a cheer coach for Lakota Tomahawks and a leader for two Girl Scout troops.

Shannon - Orthodontic Assistant

I have been in the dental field for over 10 years.  I worked in Pediatrics for 8 1/2 years and Orthodontics for 2 years before joining Cassinelli and Shanker. I assist the doctors chairside as well as helping with sterilization.  I love this profession and enjoy spending time getting to know my patients.  I have a daughter Peyton who keeps me busy running her back and forth to golf or basketball.

I love working for Drs. Cassinelli and Shanker as an orthodontic assistant.  It is so great to see our patients as they grow and mature over the course of treatment.  We develop a personal relationship with our patients, and I really enjoy that part of the job.  Drs. Cassinelli and Shanker are great.  They are always upbeat and cheerful.  I am married to Scott and  have three wonderful children, Noah, Micah and Madelyn.  I am very involved with the Middletown Firefighters and Local Ladies Auxillary and enjoy spending time with my family.

I started working for Drs. Cassinelli and Shanker as an orthodontic assistant after moving here from Kansas, where I also worked in orthodontics. I love my job and what we do for people.  Seeing the straight smiles at the end of treatment reminds me of what I do and why I enjoy it!   I am married and have two dogs.
